Lost an account ID in chart of accounts

I had a problem with the chart.dat file so I reindexed that file. Now I lost an account ID in my chart of account. I mean that that account is gone. I checked the sales journal and entries posted to that account still show that they are posted to that account, but that account has dissapeared from all of my reports. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you can send me your chart.dat file and let me know which chart seems to be missing and what version of Peachtree you are running, I'll analyze your file and tell you what the problem is.
