I installed the windows version of American Fundware last year, and have not had a good experience with it. Nearly $30,000 was spent to install the system and try to get it operating efficiently. Because of the size of the investment, I am reluctant to give up on the system, however, I tested Peachtree Complete, and it appears as if Peachtree can do a better job for me than Fundware.

So far, I have only spoken to one person who used Fundware, and he had a worse experience than I am having.

If there is anyone out there who has used Fundware, or is familiar with the product, I would appreciate hearing your opinion of that software.

I used Fundware in a not-for-profit situation that involved income allocations for restricted and endowment funds. The software had been chosen primarly to perform those functions and not for other general accounting features. For instance, payroll was performed by an outside service and posted via general journal entries. I have not used Peachtree in a multifund not-for-profit organization, so I cannot make comparisons.
