can i have windows small business server on my server computer, & xp2 on my workstations? will quantum still work?
i've been using 10 computers, all on xp, one is the server; works great. i've added 2 computers, havent installed quantum; & i found out xp has a 10 user limit for networking.
small business server has no limit. can i just swap out the server computer, one with small business server?
thanks,
bob

The Peachtree EULA does not limit the number of computers on your network that you can install Quantum on. It limits the number of users accessing the program from any group of computers. You will not experience any installation problems loading the program on your 12 workstations.

my question is about the network. windows xp2 apparently has a 10 computer limit; so if i change the server from xp2 to small business server, will my network operate ok? & does quantum mind if the server os is small business server, & the workstation is xp2?
quantum has a 10 simultaneous user limit, so i've bought a second copy, which i'm told will allow me 20 users logged on at the same time. but i'm told quantum performance is degraded, so i'm waiting until i have to, to hook up the second copy, which also requires a second computer

Dell Computers sells relatively inexpensive SERVER computers.
Quantum installs and runs fine on Windows 2003 Small Business Server. The workstation that you will use for the Server may have Windows XP currently installed but you suggested that you would be replacing Windows XP with Windows SB Server OS, so the 10 computer limit is no longer relevant.
