Hi, wonder if anyone could help, we are on a network with 3 computers connected to Peachtree ( we have multi user version for 5 computers)one of the computer can no longer access the bank reconciliation in "task". microsoft window appears and show "Peachtree Accounting for window has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. Send error report - don't send error report'
either way it crash and close Peachtree

we been using Peachtree for over 5 years and never had this problem.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the .Net Framework. The other problem may be a situation with Internet Explored, so I would recommend reinstalling it as well. If you still have a problem, try changing what the default printer is, before you open Peachtree and then go into Account Rec.

Hi, This issue has happenned again to the same user, she cannot access bank reconciliation. We created a new peachtree logon for the user and all is OK. It appears to be a corrupt user account?? Has anyone else had this issue? Should we be concerned about this? The server did crash when this issue began.
Thanks
Geoff

within peachtree go to maintain/ company information. Look at the directory and copy it. Go to start and then Run then right click and paste, click on ok.
Now look for a file called userpref.dat or just userpref right click on it and left click on rename make it so it reads userpref.old. Make a backup before you do any of the steps if we rename or delete the wrong file peachtree will not work and do not worry about the user pref it gets recreated empty. hope this helps
