Can Peachtree Automatically Assign Cust. & Vendor I.D. numbers

We are just starting with Peachtree. We have multiple users in sales. Is there any way to have Peachtree Quantum automatically assign numeric Unique Identifiers as newcustomer are entered.

This is not possible but it will prevent an ID from being entered twice.
