Peachtree and Dynamics

Hi,

We have Peachtree Complete Accounting Release 7.0

We were working fine on it until we merged with another
company and started using Great Plains Dynamics 5.00
after Dynamics software was installed. We can no longer
start Peachtree.

We tried reinstalling it but, no success.

On startup we get a "file system error 20"
on options.dat and other dat file.

I noticed that Dynamics also uses a version of
Btrieve database engine. Could there be an
incompatibility issue going on?

Please help, we still want to use Peachtree.

Likely a conflict happens as Peachtree is using btrieve 6.15 engine.

Then meaning of error 20:

Btrieve error 20 (record manager inactive)

Try to search this forum for more information, some posts about 20 before.

Does this version of Great Plains use Pervasive SQL2000? If so, the workstations should have a small SQL icon in the task tray. Use this to turn off the SQL engine before you enter Peachtree. Seems to work more times than not. Hope this helps.
