Hi1. I'm a PC repair guy who has a customer who is having problems with PCA 8.0. I've checked out the Win98SE and it seems to be in good shape - no hideous problems I can find and MSWord seems to run fine. This PC is networked to a server running NT 4.0 . I have no experience with Peachtree and can use any help I can get from you folks.
PCA generates an error message when she tries to print sales invoices - the invoice prints but PCA crashes. The error message is "MSGSRV32 caused a general protection fault in module kernel32.dll at 0187:bff719f5". This happens about 75% of the time. She is trying to print to a Panasonic KX-P2130 printer (pretty old printer) that handles her multicopy forms. I can print to the same printer from Windows Printer Test Page and from Word with no problem.
This error also occurs on another PC on her network when trying to do the same thing.
Other error messages show up as well.
"Peachw caused an exception 10H in module PCHLIB32.dll at 0187:1900e546"
Only on other PC:
The following error occured when trying to print checks - after the first one printed correctly.
"PeachW caused an invalid page fault in module MSVBVM60.dll at 0187:66069362"
I don't recall what caused this one-
"Peachw caused exception 10H in module Peachw.exe at 0187:04212e2b".
My gut feeling is that:
1) she should get a newer printer with uptodate drivers (she has the latest ones that Panasonic offers (for Win95!).
2) She should uninstall then reinstall PCA 8.0 and any patches that are available.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
