Issue if Inventory at Average price to different Department

Dear All,

Can we issue inventory to different departments at the average price within Company.
eg. the average price of item "A" is $ 200 and i need to issue this to 3-different departments at this price. it wastes a lot of time to go and check the Avervage Price of Each Inventory Item in Stock and then Issue it.
So is any way where can issue inventory within company to different dept.

I am not sure what you mean by issue. Are these items going to be used by these departments or sold by these departments? Give me more detail and I may be able to come up with a better work around for you.

Yes, its issue to department within the company (not sales) and this issue on the average price method. I found no way to issue items as it cost (Average Pirce Method) . one can olny sell at the pre-defined rate which u put in.
I have solved this problem in this way, many be it will help all having same prob.
I m issuing all items with inventory adjustmane and i have defined my departments as different Jobs and my company as one customer.
since i have differnt type of invetory items in my General Store so i have allocated one cost of goods sold code in chart of accounts for each item type,eg 50001 for Packing Material and 50002 for Tools and 50003 for Chemicals Items, etc...

I am getting all my repots from Job ledger. and it works


Now their is a problem that u can not give job cost id and Phase ID to Cost of Goods sold items. which could be an extra help in this report.
