HOW DO I EXEMPT AN EMPLOYEE FOR STATE AND FEDERAL TAXES?

You can do this usually in one of two ways. Either enter 99 allowances in the allowance section for that employees record or go to the employEE fields for that employee and uncheck std and calc for those taxes.
