i'm using quantum 2009. turned off smart posting at suggestion of tech support as problems were happening. just restored the company from a backup as i bought a new server compuer, & switched from xp to small business server 2003


any ideas what its telling me?

It sounds like you have batch posting instead of real time on. Look under Maintain Comapny to confirm. If that's the case, or even if you switched to real time, there might be something hanging that you need to post by Task/System/Post.

Even if you've always used real time posting, this occaisionally happens.

To fix it, go to Maintain, Company Info and switch to batch posting. Then Tasks, System, Post and post all journals. Then go back to company info and switch back to real time posting and you'll be all set.
