I/o Error

I tried to change accounting periods & it said I had an unposted journal entry. so i changed it to batch posting. & it said i had an I/O error in the jrnlrow.dat file. I found the unposted entry & voided it thinking that would make the problem go away & it didnt, Now I can't even change back to real time batch posting, I get the same I/O error message. How do i correct this?

Go to start, run and type C:\Peachw\Peachw.exe -i

This will open Peachtree with the integrity check loaded. Then open your company, go to File, Integrity check, make a backup. Once you are in select reindex files and then on the right choose jrnlrows, select OK.

If you receive any errors during the reindex you will need to restore to a backup of the data and try the same steps again until you can get through an integrity check without error.
