I don't really know how to migrate my Peachtree 2007 from an older malfunctioning pc to a new one. Both are Windows xp. I am using a single user version of Peachtree 2007. I do have the original installation cd. I can access all of the files and backup the old pc.
Thanks

Install Peachtree 2007 on the new Windows XP computer. Open Peachtree, click on FILE and RESTORE. When prompted for the location and file name, point to your current data backup (created from the original computer) and again when prompted indicated to restore as a NEW COMPANY and further to restore both Company Data Files as well as Custom Forms.

I am getting this error message after installing PT 2007 on a new XP Pro system and moving the data over.
Any help will be appreciated

Check for software ie. Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware etc. that may be interfering with the Pervasive Software PSQL database engine. If this proves to be the case then once you have Peachtree open, click on HELP and Customer Support & Services. Click on Startup Options - select SERVICE. This will allow Pervasive to start with Windows and not after all these other programs load, preventing Pervasive from starting properly.
