Hi there, hope to get some advice please. How do I set the path to connect directly to G: drive on windows nt server. I upgraded to a new computer with xp and have managed to get all the networks places hooked up except in Peachtree.
When I open Peachtree it automatically goes to c:\peachw and I need it to open as G:\peachw etc. I have changed it in options but it reverts to C: next time it starts up. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you set the Datapath in your .INI file? For instance, if you're using Peachtree Complete 8.0, it's the PCW80.INI file. Click Start, Run, then type the name of your respective INI file, then press Enter. Make the modification to the datapath, then save the file.

If you're not sure what your INI file is called for your version, post another message with the version and we'll let you know.

Here're some ini file names. When you install Peachtree, an ini file will be dropped into the windows dir, like c:\windows ( win8x ) or c:\winnt ( windows nt/2000 ).

PAW8.0 PAW80.ini
PFA 8.0 PFA80.ini
PCW, PAW 7.0 PAW70.ini
PFA 7.0 PTFIRST7.ini

Thanks for the replies. We use Peachtree Complete 8.0.
I will look at what files are used tomorrow and post the results.
As you realise I am not very clear on the whole path situation.
I seem to work out that the path should be something like C:\peachw G:\peachw\annayacasa the last being the name given to our company file.

When you set the datapath don't set it to your company folder. Set it to the folder above it (G:\peachw). You will get errors otherwise. And you won't be able to use the Peachtree backup properly
