Just applied the SR4 to server and all clients, update appeared to be successful, now when a client tries to logon, gets a warning that the shared data file is not accessible.

it says to make sure that system access is enabled on the share, which it is, all clients can actually read and access the shared file using windows explorer, by trying to use the open existing company, all companies can be seen, but when try to open get the warning,

all clients are XP pro, any body got any ideas, the company works seven days and i cant get any help from Puketree.

Check your setting on shared folder on the Server- both the Share and the Security Tabs. Both must be set to FULL for all users and Groups. Check for if not found add the group SYSTEM to both the Share and the Security Tabls and setting System to FULL.

All are set with system allowed full control. that was the first thing i checked

Did you also check for the Group SYSTEM in both locations?
