General Journal Entries

Hello,

This may be a very basic task, but I am new to Peachtree and Bookkeeping.
I am starting a new client who has not always kept the best of records. I am taking last years sales and entering them as a GJ
entry to the appropriate account and making one entry to the checking or cash account. I am doing this for each month, changing the account period as I go. But when I go into the history of the item it is not showing these totals. Help!

What item are you going into to look for History information, Chart of Accounts or Customers. If it is customers, then you wont see history informnation there, because you used journals to post the entries.

If it is the GL account history, then you should see the running account balances each month. If not then do an integrity check for Chart/Journal
