How do I align the text in a group. Example: I would like to center the quantities text of each item sold in the QTY colum. Also how do I nudge the text to move it away from the border line that is printed around the text (I am not using preprinted forms).

You cannot align the data text / numbers in group.

If you need to the numbers a bit from the border line, you put a space in the number format - in the group properties view - there is button "#" which allows you to change the numbers format.
