I was entering budget numbers in Peachtree Pro, which is a painful process, as it seems to want to do some elaborate processing between each number. I saved it several times. Now when I go to exit, it keeps telling me "You have modified the current record and have not saved it. Do you want to save this record first?" If I say yes, it saves and puts me back in the form, if I say no, it doesn't exit. It also looks like some of the last items I entered are not saved, as the budgets report that can be generated is missing things. My only option was to force Peachtree to close. I like the idea of the new way to enter budget numbers, but the performance and execution need some help!

You did not state the Peachtree version that you are using other than PRO i.e. 2007, 2008 etc. or the Windows version that Peachtree is installed on. I might guess from your description that you are using Peachtree PRO 2007 and Windows Vista. If this is correct, then this may be one more incompatibility issue. If this is not correct, then please provide more information related to Peachtree and Windows. Also, include any information on Windows User privileges (Administrator, Power User etc), Anti-Virus software, Firewall software, any of which may be the source of the file lock problem.

The Peachtree version is Pro 2009. The Windows version is Vista. I was just in Maintain Budgets again, without having done anything, and Peachtree wouldn't let me exit, so I had to force an exit through the task manager. My user account is administrative. Windows Firewall, no anti-virus.
