Problems reprinting W-2

Had an employee who lost their W-2. Trying to reprint from file . Keeps giving me an error that no history can be found or no AUD File can be found. All updates current. Payroll files are there. Did another reprint last week for another employee (teenagers), but since the last update I can't get the thing to reprint. The tax file is in there and will not let me view either. Using PT Complete 2007 on a Vista machine. Also use payroll tax services and it is updated.

Checked on the Peachtree Forum and it said something about the 2.90 update needs to be installed. Well the up date has been installed. About to pull my hair out. Please Help!1

As a workaround, if all the data is in there you can grab it from Reports -> Payroll -> Yearly earnings report and then type it into a blank W-2 you can download from the IRS or enter it into IRS's W-2 web tool and print from there.

I am having the same problem. I also installed the Feb. update, but it did not fix it. Did you find a fix??

No, I updated to PT Complete 2009 did all the updates for PT and Payroll tax services and still having the same problems. Ugghhhh!!!

Have you tried taking the option to import the latest payroll data? As long as you haven't changed your 2008 payroll data, the W2s will be the same.

If I export the 2008 payroll data and then import it, won't I lose the 2009 payroll data?

First, you will backup your data files before importing anything. When you import data into Peachtree, you need to realize that the program is date sensitive. As such, 2008 payroll will not impact 2009 payroll.

Import did not work, still having the same problem. Will try to get in touch with support tomorrow. Since nothing else has worked
