I'm not sure if this question has already been addressed. I didn't see a thread with the same exact scenario as mine.

I have a network of around twenty users. Five of those access Peachtree Quantum 2009 on our accouting server. The server it is installed on runs Server 2003 for the OS. We upgraded from Peachtree Construction in December.

It seems about once a week the users lose access to the mapped drive through Peachtree. All of the users will get an error saying that the network drive cannot be accessed. (Paraphrased, I don't remember the exact message.) The mapped network drive can still be accessed via my computer or any other shortcut, so I know that the folder is accessible. Once I go to the server and close the status.ptl file and restart the Peachtree Smartposting 2009 service everyone can get back in and use it. Has anyone seen a similar issue or have some insight into this matter? As far as I know, there isn't anything special going on that would cause this. I do have one user that logs in and out of around 40 companies very quickly; just running reports and exiting. We didn't have this type of issue with the previous version of Peachtree doing the same routines. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

Check the Server - Peachtree Share settings under both the Share and the Security Tabs. If applicable add SYSTEM as a user under these headings and be sure that user EVERYONE and SYSTEM are both set to FULL Permissions.
