I'm new to posting on forums so if I mess up, let me know. I would like to know if anyone has experience with QuickBoos Pro vs. Peachtree. I am leaning toward Peachtree Complete and need to make a decision soon. What are the advantages/disadvantage to both/either. Thanks in advance!

In my experience, Peachtree is better suited to folks that have an accounting background or are comfortable with numbers. QuickBooks seems to suit folks that aren't, and don't want to be, accountants. Both programs accomplish the same tasks. Your best bet is to download a trial version of each from the respective web sites, then decide for yourself first hand. You'll know quickly which one feels better to you if you give each a test drive.

I've found that if a person has the proper training and the books are supervised PT
is more predictable.
When it comes to import, export ,closing periods, batch posting using standard accounting reports and summarized reports PT is better. It also depends on the type of business and special requirements.
The general ledger is less bulky and clearer in QB and while the bank rec's
are terrible it is possible to change transactions without leaving the bank rec. Editing transactions on a register is also easier in QB than going to a new screen in PT.
