Does anyone have any idea why it now takes one hour + to run the Cash Manager? Before we updated to PT Version 9, the report used to take 10 minutes to run. Same thing with the Collection Manager. Any insight would be appreciated!

First off, have you applied all of the patches?

Secondly, give us more information: what operating system, how much RAM, how many users, grand total figure from Help, File Statistics, and any other background. What you're experiencing isn't typical, so the more info you can provide, the better a chance you'll have at resolution.

Sorry it has taken so long to get all of the information. All of the patches have been applied. It now takes about 1hr 15 min. to run the report. The operating system is WIN 198 , 440MB Ram, 8 users, and the grand total fugure is 672065. Can anyone help me get this report to run faster?

You have the largest Peachtree company that I've ever seen mention of. Typically, the grand total should be less that 100,000 for optimal performance. You need to purge your company, but even that may not resolve the problem. Most likely, you're going to need to rebuild your Peachtree company to get it down to a reasonable size.

David, Thank you so much for all of your help. the size of the company was no surprise to our computer person. He is trying to get approval to move up to a larger system. I hope it is soon before we begin having other problems. Thanks!!
