I am working for a company uses Peachtree 2007 for Manufacturing and has a website which accepts customer orders. We would like to import orders from the website into Peachtree to avoid having to key them in manually. I can program the website to create a .csv file in the proper field sequence to match the import/export templates.

Should we import to the sales journal or the sales order journal?

Will importing the sales orders adjust the on hand inventory for the items in the order?

How will the office know which orders were recently imported so that invoices can be printed and send to the customers?

Thank you for your help.

Hello, I am having the same issue as well. I am trying to import a .csv file from ebay into Peachtree.
I need to figure out the template for this so I can import into peachtree. I exported to see the actual layout that I need. But It doesn't help me anymore because in the end I will still have to manually enter all the data, Just like how we already are now. I had figured that someone had developed something to fix this issue or some kind of bridge so the manual entry could possibly be removed. Has anyone ever heard of a program such as this?
Your help is much appreciated

Thank you

If you import (csv) to Sales Orders, then the program will impact Inventory showing the adjustment under Quantity Available (Qty on Hand - Qty on SO's = Qty Available). The transaction date in the import file will set the Sales Order Date, and when the SO is complete, the Sales Invoice will list the date of the Invoice.

In order to identify newly Imported Sales Orders you can use a unique Sales Order Reference i.e. the order date with a suffix for the order number ie. 052609-01 or similar coding.
