2 Corrupt Data Files

I have an ME machine that seems that the hard drive is crashing. I've tried to copy data files over to another drive and it will copy all files but the audittr.dat and the eventlog.dat. Are these files needed to run the program? The machine will not boot under ME at this point so I'm not sure which version I have.

You're very fortunate...neither of those files are critical to your accounting records. If Peachtree doesn't find these on the new machine, it will prompt you to ask if you want new, blank copies made. Choose Yes in both cases, and you'll be back in business.
