Is there anyway to enter i.e. 45.0*23.0 and hit enter and have it return a
value of 1035 in the Item QTY field? I am trying to figure out a way sell a
rug pad based on foot/square. So, I want to be able to enter 45.0*23.0 in
the QTy and have the Item be a Rug Pad, valued at $2.00.

If this isn't the best way to do it, please let me know.

I can't seem to figure this one out, nor could I ever enter a new item every
time I sold a different size rug pad.

To do this online, you need an Excel spreadsheet that will let you generate the necessary calculations, then interface with Peachtree. The software doesn't allow calculations within the quantity field.

Your other option is to use the Windows Calculator to do the math, then copy and paste it into the field, but it seems like it would be easier just to use a traditional calculator, unless you're interested in a more sophisticated solution.
