Picklist -- Show quantity of components of Assemblies

What I am looking for is a way to easily show the quantities of inventory items needed for a particular sales order. The sales order has only assemblies on it. What I need to do is show the quantity of the components used for those assemblies.

For example, if my product is a bottle of vodka mixed with orange juice, the sales order would look something like this:



Qty Item
10 Vodka Orange Juice

where 'Vodka Orange Juice' is an assembly that looks like this:


Component Qty
Vodka 2 Liter
Orange Juice 1 Liter


As of right now, I am using a Picklist Report, but the Picklist only shows that I need 10 Vodka Orange Juice assemblies.

How do I make a report that would summarize that for that Sales Order, I need 20 Liters of Vodka and 10 Liters of Orange Juice?

Go to Maintain - Inventory Items and select your Assmbly Item. Click on the BOM Tab. On this screen you will see a check box, to list the Assembly Components on the Sales Order & Sales Inovice.

I see the checkbox but it says only "Print components on Invoice". Is there a way to get this to show up on Sales Orders as well? What I am trying to do, continuing my example, is blend the Vodka and Orange Juice before the bottles are filled. I need an easy way to show the guys in the warehouse exactly how much they need to blend prior to bottling. I do not want to create an invoice yet but if it's the only way to show the total of the things needed, I suppose that is my only option.

I stated in my prior post that this feature works in both SALES ORDERS and Sales Inovices.
