Effect of Special Codes in Reports

Can anyone tell me what the special codes in reports return? I am especially unclear as to the use of $(enddate nn)$. I would also like to find out what current-1 returns. The documentation is unclear and the help desk staff is prohibited from answering such questions.

$(enddate nn)$ should display date for the last day of the date range selected for the report.

I only remember Current-1 as a timeframe, not a special code. It means that peachtree will display the period before the time frame selected for a report. For example, if your fiscal periods correspond to calendar months and you print an income statement for August, then Current-1 would give you July.
