Year-End Wizard info

I am using PT2008 Complete Accounting and trying to run the Year-End Wizard for a prior fiscal 12 month period. After selecting the available year to close, Peachtree tells me I have some unprinted items I need to print. It says, "Payment Checks: There are unprinted accounts payable checks dated in the year you are closing." Peachtree suggest I print these before continuing. Unfortunately, I cannot find them. Everything seems to have cleared the bank months ago. I am unable to find a report that lists unprinted checks Peachtree is referencing. I could use some help figuring out how to get that report so I can correct this issue.

Single click on the AP Check Register from the REPORTS menu and then click on OPTIONS. There change the PRINT STATUS using the drop down menu option and select UNPRINTED. Set the Report Date Range to START at 01/01/1980 and END date to the last day of the fiscal year that you want to close. This report will list all UNPRINTED Checks. You will be able to drill down on any and all listings to access the original check.

Rick, I followed your instructions and selected UNPRINTED for the proper date range. The report results showed nothing that fit the criteria. I tried running the Year-End Wizard again and it still says I have unprinted checks. Should I be worried? I am not sure if now I should disregard the suggestion and continue with the Year-End, or run an integrity check. Every other aspect of the software is working fine...no errors, no missing files, no lock-ups, etc.

Run the Peachtree Data Verification and if applicable, then run the Integrity Checks - Data Sync for Vendors / Journal and Invoice / Payment Data Sync. Following those tests, you can then run the Year End Wizard and Continue when the Unprinted Checks msg appears.

An alternative idea would be to click on the DATA DAMAGED Icon at the top of the screen and have your data professionally checked / repaired.
