I recently upgraded to 2009 complete multi-user.
It ran fine for the first several months, now for the last month or so I keep losing my registration. ( I go to open Peachtree and the registration screen appears. I can re-enter my information and sometimes it will accept it, other times it will not and I have to restart Peachtree and or reboot my computer, then the registration works fine. )

It seems to be more prevalent on my laptop, especially if I have been disconnected from my office network. ( Don't know if this contributes or not . . . )

Peachtree is installed on 2 workstations, data is kept on a 3rd machine as a peer to peer network shared drive. All machines are running XP Pro.

Normally if one computer loses registration, the other is fine. ( Seems that when one "goes down" its not long before the other one has problems. )

Any ideas? Where to start looking?

The Peachtree Registration is stored in the Windows Registry and in a hidden file labeled OPTIONS.DAT on the shared Peachtree data drive.

You need to be logged into Windows and the Host / Server computer, as an Administrator or equivalent in order to write to the Windows Registry and to update the OPTIONS.DAT file. The OPTIONS.DAT file is located in the Peachtree shared folder (..\Peachtree\Company\) and is a Hidden file. This file may have become corrupted causing the occassional error message. Chances are greater that you do not have sufficient Windows Permissions to both the local and Host or Server drive when attempting to register Peachtree.
