Simple IRA deductions

Hi! I am Peachtree Complete version 8 user and am trying to set up deductions for a simple ira program. I can find info on setting up a 401 k plan, but that seems to be for deducting a percentage as opposed to a specific amount. Can anyone offer any info on this?? I have checked at the Peachtree website knowledge center, but didn't find anything there. I sure appreciate any help!

When I want to set up a specific amount deduction, I set it up in the employEE Fields.

The easiest way is to enter the amount (as a negative figure) under each employees' Maintain screen - EmployEE Tab. Uncheck the Standard box and deselect the Calculated column then enter the amt in the AMT column.
