If I let Peachtree sit idle for awhile all my data disappears and I have to restart Peachtree-why?

Is this a workstation? Sounds like it is timing out

Not a workstation. Does not happen my laptop only the desktop. None of my other programs shut down.
This started only a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember changing anything that might have caused this.

No screen saver.
I put the Peachtree disk in and tried "repair", but no success. Maybe I should try uninstall and reinstall???

I don't think that will work in this case. Usually if it happens to one customer, we hear about it from more than one if its related to a peachtree download. Therefore I would think its related to something in the windows environment. Screen savers sometimes cause freezups in PT, but there are other programs that can do the same thing. The key is that your memory manager is releasing PT memory when it is sitting idle, abd breaking the connection with the database. One thing you could try is if you know when the problem started, use the restore feature in windows to restore the system back to an earlier date.
