Transfering Data To New Computer

I have a new computer and installed Peachtree on it and made a disk of my peachtree data from my old PC, how do I go about loading the data from the disk? Is it under "new" or "open" company, I have tried each unsuccessfully, help, thanks.

Create a new company and rstore into it...

You would think this would be covered better in the documentation.

Thanks, it sounds like you are saying to create a new company with name only and then try to restore the backup I made. I did try to create a new company, but went through the procedures including using the sample chart of accounts. I don't know if it will let you do this, but I will try. Thanks

Don't worry it will let you as long as you are in the same or higher version of Peachtree than what the backup is made in.
