Peachtree Complete Network version 2002 keeps asking for the registration info each time we start up. I have put the info in several times. Itr never says "Thanks for registering" and next time you start up it asks again.

This occurred after we reinstalled Version 2002 after deconverting from 2003 after our check printing program "PrintBoss) wouldn't work with version 2003.

Is there a file in a particular path that it is looking for that it isn't finding? Does anyone know what it is?

The data resides in a server, and the software runs on each workstation. When I restored 2002, I just pasted the pre conversion data directories back to their origional location, and then reinstalled 2002 over the top of 2003 on each workstation.

At this point, I'd uninstall Peachtree, then reinstall it. It's never a good idea to install an earlier version of a program over a later version without uninstalling it first. Once you've uninstalled, take a further step of deleting the PEACHW direcotry if it's not automatically deleted. Obviously, back up your data at the server before you attempt this process.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like sound advice. I got in a hurry because I had checks to print, and Ptree Version 2003 killed my Printboss setup so we couldn't print checks (see previous posting)

Just for your info, PrintBosss support told me that Printboss works OK with Peachtree 2003 (version 10) Running on Windows 2000 and forward. They have no intension of making it compatible with Win 98 & backward.

Maybe I was the last person on the planet running Printboss and Peachtree Complete on Win 98, but I doubt it.

Thanks for sharing your PrintBoss experience! A lot of the value of this forum is in hearing about other users problems and resolutions.

You must be set as an admin for your workstation (not domain) or it will ask for reg and seriel number everytime you go in.
