GL and GJ Disconnect

There is a journal entry that was entered, why I don't know, but it is throwing my books off. When I go into the GL and click on it. It does nothing. I can click on the other GL entries and open the Journal up.

Any thoughts?

I have full access rights

I have performed Data Verification

I have completely shutdown and restarted

I have checked for updates, none are available

There are inventory adjustments done by Peachtree that you cannot change. What is it related to?

If you receive your inventory after you sell it, then Peachtree makes a journal entry for cost of goods. You can correct this by editing the date "received" to a date prior to the sell and then reinvoicing the sale.

This is a daily general journal entry for activity from another system.

I can't even pull up the journal entry, that's where the disconnect is.

If you have a journal entry that you cannot drill down on, it is either a system cost adj, as was mentioned, a begging bal entry, or related to prepayments. If it is not one of these three, I would suspect a db problem.

You can download the dat checker from the new users section of the forum. That will allow you to examine the dat without changing it. Or, you can run data verification which will attempt to correct errors that it may find.

I usually run data checker first because it is faster.

If its exported in then export it back out. Then look at it to see if something is wrong with it, if so change and reimport.
