View Full Version : missing tax calculation

I have been using Peachtree for awhile, and this month I started to get error messages when I did the payroll. Every time I select an employee for a paycheck, I get an error message "Cannot find CO*SIT married calculation" (same for single). I have tried everything I can think of to no avail:

I read the PDF that deals with this issue, but they only say that it could be a mismatch between selected and allowed status. Not the case here.

I have reapplied the tax tables. No change.

I have selectively deleted and re-added the COSIT M2 and COSIT S2 tax tables. No change.

I have de-selected the "Std" checkbox on the employee page and selected "COSIT" from the list. No change.

Can anybody help me with this?

Check both the formula and the employee record and make sure they both say "CO" in the State field.

Thanks for the tip.

Both the tax table and the employee say "CO".

OK...check in your Company tax table. Is there a CO tax listed there as well?

There are many taxes listed there, For Colorado I can only find one: "COSUI"

I just noted, that many of the company taxes are incomplete. Here is for example one, that was listed as:

SIT1 SIT 01

and the formula for the calculation is:

SWER = -PRORATE (TABLE (ANNUAL (ADJUSTED_GROSS) - (EMP_STATE_ALLOWANCES * 2000)))

Obviously there is something missing at the beginning.

Now, there must be hundreds of taxes in the company tax tables. How do I get rid of them efficiently if I have to? If I have to click on each one, select delete, then confirm the deletion, it'll take me hours to deleten them all.
