For the past couple of years our business has made a monetary donations to our school PTA. In 2009 we donated product for the teacher's Christmas gift bag.

How do I handle the accounting in Peachtree Pro 2009? I need to update the inventory to reflect what was donated but how do I go about accounting for the actual cost of the products? :confused:

Setup the PTA as a Customer. Issue a Sales Invoice to the PTA for the goods donated. List the Sale Value as 0.00 for each line item. This will diminish Inventory and will list the Invoice as FULLY PAID, while maitaining a record of the donation.
