When opening Fixed Assets, I get the error message "FALIMIT.DAT file could not be found."
The user can access Fixed Assets when I first install Peachtree Complete Accounting on the workstation, but something happens and later the error message above shows up instead. I don't know what this something is. I'm wondering if it has to do with a reboot, or someone else logging in to the workstation. But we don't use roaming profiles so this shouldn't be an issue.
The workstation is Windows2000 SP1 on a WinNT4.0 SP6a network. I installed the software with the Peachtree data source on the network file share in a directory called PeachW, and the application files to the local hard drive. The user is a member of the Administrator's group on the workstation, and is a member of the Domain Users group on the network. The user has full read/write access on the file share.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
