PT 2011 Automatic Backup Problems running

I have tried several times to do the new 2011 PT autobackup. First few times got ERROR that others were logged in (WHEN NO one was logged in).. now getting EXCEPTION error - company file is locked?
anyone have luck with this new config and how to set up? should be intuitive but doesn't seem to be friendly?

No idea, we're getting all manner of weird errors. Right now I can't do an automatic backup, I get "An unknown error occurred compressing the database files" every time after it runs for 15 minutes. Any clues?

still getting this company is locked error. program works fine otherwise. just NOT the automatic backup feature and can't get Sage to answer my question

i finally got it to work. instead of running 'routine on server computer itself', i did it on MY desktop and it works perfect. there must be a flaw where it can run the backup utility from the same computer/server that has the program saved on it??????
