copying customers to new company

I want to create a new company by copying all setting from an existing company. Can't figure out how to copy the customers and vendors. Can this be done?

Looks like you should be able to simply export the list(s) from the existing company then import into the new? Haven't tried it, but it looks as though it should work. Inventory lists work well this way. Good luck!
