Lock Table Full Errors

I have client who has been running 2003 without any problems until recently when they started to receive lock table full errors in audittr.dat and jrnhdr.dat. I've inserted the vshare.386 command in system.ini on all workstations and the server with no luck. Any ideas of what to do now?

Need more details OS?, networked?, etc. The more details the better.

They are networked. The operating systems are Windows 2000 on the server and one workstation with 98 on the remaining workstations. The Windows 2000 workstation is generating the bulk of the error messages.
