I am trying to uninstall and reinstall Peachtree Complete Account 2010. I keep running an error when I try to uninstall it.

Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\\Windows\Installer\Peachtree Accounting 2010.msi

I have tried uninstalling through the Control Panel>Uninstall Progams. I have tried to repair and uninstall through the original Peachtree disc. All are giving me the same errors.

I can't even access Peachtree through this computer anymore. Everytime I click on it, it immediately goes to "Peachtree has stopped working".

I have tried Revo Uninstaller and still no dice. Any help would be appreciated.

Download from Microsoft's website their Installation Cleanup Utility labeled MSICUU2.EXE and then install and run it.

Alternately go to Start/Programs/Windows Update and check for all available updates. The very first thing it does is make sure you have the latest version of MS Installer. Often an old or damaged version of the installer will cause these errors. If that does not work then Rick's suggestion should take care of it, but you will also want to get a registry clean up and repair utility to prevent problems in the future.
