I have added 2 new employees. One is filing single 0 and the other is filing married 1.

When I go to do a payroll entry for both of these employees, I get an error message: Could not find the Soc-Sec 02 all statuses calculation and for the married employee the message is: Could not find the Soc-Sec 02 married calculation.

Please help me!

It appears you entered the wrong name for the social security calculations. Check an existing employee to see how they're set up, then replicate the tax ID names for the two new employees.

I am sorry, I am not understanding what it is you are suggesting that I do. There are only 2 other employees in the company and they are both married w/ 1 exemption. I have studied their deductions and I am not able to find why the 2 new employees won't work. I have gone to both the global and company tax tables and the calculations read for all statuses. Please let me know what I should do.

In my version of Peachtree, the Social Security calculations are called FICA and MEDICARE, not Soc Sec. If you're using the Peachtree tables, then you're using the wrong tax ID, which is why it's not working. Check the Employee and Employer tabs on the Maintain Employees screen...compare this for the two new employees to the old employees.

If you're not using the Peachtree tax update, then I can't advise you how to resolve the problem without seeing your company files.

Thank you so much. You are a genius! That definitely was the problem. I have been trying to figure this one out for a while.

Thanks again
