View Full Version : File System Error #100 in SORTJOB.DAT

4 computers on Windows network running PT Vs7.(Yes I know it is about to become an orphan.)

Had memory go bad on server; reduced to 32mg for two weeks. Added another computer for total of 5. Started getting I/O errors. Moved data to new computer. Still getting errors.

Memory restored to 96mg. Still having problems. Ran integrity check. Got above message. Went back to 7/13 backup. Still get above message. Will look for earlier backup. Any suggestions as to what we should do next?

Try renaming SORTJOB.DAT and restarting Peachtree. It will rebuild the file. That MIGHT cure the problem.

I renamed the file and it created a new one but now we are getting other error messages from .dat files. Also all the previously closed Sales Orders are now open and we cannot post invoices.

So I guess it is back to square one. Restoring old back-up and re-entering data.

Thanks for your suggestion. You better believe I will pay closer attention to the error messages in the future.
