Does anybody know where I can get some examples of formulas that calculate tax. These would help me write my own.....Thx

You're in for some serious brain damage if you try to write the formulas on your own. If another user doesn't share any formulas with you, you should consider either paying for the annual payroll tax update from Peachtree, or just using the IRS publication Circular E to manually calculate the taxes. If the employees are salaried, you'd only have to look up the amounts once a year, or when their pay rate changes. Here's a link to the IRS document:

I assume you need this for added Union or other types of deductions. if not, I agree with dringstrom, you would be better off with the payroll tax update.
But if your interested I posted a message in another thread on creating a deduction, look at "Payroll-Setting up Union Benefits"
It's really not that hard to set up small hour or wage type of deductions.
