View Full Version : Deposits from a wire transfer
I have a foreign entity which is set up as cash basis company and to which I wire transfer funds into a foreign checking account, which is used for local cash expenses.
As a new user to Peachtree, I'm not certain as to how to enter the wire transfers in my foreign-based entities application as a "deposit" into the foreign checking account.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
TIA.
After posting my question this morning, I was able to find a help topic that addressed my needs:
Enter a Payment from a Customer Not on File
From the Tasks menu, select Receipts. Peachtree displays the Receipts window.
Leave the Customer ID field blank. This allows you to enter the customer's name. The receipt sale will update the general ledger but eliminate the need to keep a customer record.
Make sure you enter something in the Reference # field, such as the check number. This is a required field.
In the Cash Account list, enter or select the bank account in which the receipt is deposited.
If you have the Hide General Ledger Accounts global option activated, the Cash Account lookup list displays only names of cash accounts currently set up in the chart of accounts.
Select the Print button if you want to print and save the receipt. Otherwise, click the Save button.
