Help please

I am running Peachtree release 6.0 on Windows 98.
Peachtree runs fine until I log off and back on the same machine. After logging back on, I try to start Peachtree and I get this error:
"Btrieve initialization error 1020".
Then I restart Windows and everything is fine.

I am not as familiar as others are with Btrieve but I have seen that error on computers that either a) have another program using btrieve or b) Has a problem shutting down the btrieve engine. If you get that error check if a program called w32mkde is still running.

The Wolf is correct, this error message is caused by Windows' failure to shut down the w32mkde file (which is the database engine). After shutting Peachtree, give Windows a few seconds to shut down the Btrieve files before logging off.

As the Wolf said check the Task Manager to see if w32mkde is still running as this is the file that causes the error.
