Can anyone tell me that Peachtree Premium Accounting for Construction is DCAA Audit Compliant? (Defense Contract Audit Agency). In order to do business with the government, our accounting software is to be "compliant".

I am not aware of DCAA compliancy but you should call Sage - Peachtree Sales Department.

I contacted Sage a couple of days ago. The best they have done is recommend a consultant who has no experience with DCAA requirements. I am pursuing the issue.

I have gotten peachtree approved by DCAA numerous times over the years and as recent as last fall.

Despite what many software vendors will tell you, no software is compliant out of the box and after the 2009 GAO audit DCAA has gotten a lot more difficult on the accounting system. You will need good policies and procedures to win approval with Peachtree or anyother system.

There are some DCAA offices in the mdwest that are trying to ban QuickBooks as a matter or interest.

Can you tell me where to find a consultant to help set up my Peachtree accounting system? I know the basics of accounting but I don't understand all the details, especially the DCAA requirements.
