Some transactions doubled

We had a problem last night changing accounting periods from July to August with the unposted transaction message. I found this website and a solution of changing posting method to batch and doing an unpost and then post. Then change posting method back to real time. We did that, but when the unpost was running it gave a message that it couldn't find an invoice number with an OK option. We went a head and reposted. Now it appears some transactions are posted twice. My suspicion is that it just stopped unposting when it got the error and all transactions after that were posted again anyway. Do you have suggestions on how to fix? Thanks

You need to run either data verification tests or integrity checks depending on the version you are running. Double posting is a sign of data corruption.
