Drill down of inventory item

I have Peachtree Complete Accounting 2000. How can I find out supplier info, like name and invoice number based on item ID for returning it to supplier?

Additionally, it would be advantagous to see who bought certain products and how much they paid for it.

In Inventory Reports, the Item Costing Report allows you to look up an item and drill down to the purchase documentation.

In A/R reports, the Items Sold to Customers should give you the other info.

I missed the fact that you are on Version 2000. The reports I mentioned are in 2002, I don't know when they were added.

I am unsure that you are in the correct forum PCAW goes from v8 to 2002 (v9) there is no v2000. If you are using Peachtree 2000 there is another forum for those questions.
