how to locate items not posted in order to change accounting periods

I have Peachtree Complete version 8. I use realtime posting (not batch) so really there should be no reason that I am having this problem. I can not change my accounting period. It tells me that it can not change periods due to unposted journal entries.!? I've been working on this for 5 weeks now and I give. My dead line is up because I need reports printed for July in order to pay taxes due now! HELP! Thanks in advance.

It's a very common error message.

Go to Maintain, Company Information and change your posting method to Batch Posting.

Go to Tasks, System, Post and choose to Post all journals.

Go back to Maintain, Company Information and change your posting method back to Real Time.

You should now be able to change your accounting period without the error
message.

Thanks Diane. That worked like a charm. I did not realize that you could so easily change between batch and real time posting without causing any other problems. THANKS YOU!
