Ok, I know many of you will think me silly, but I just upgraded my workstation to Windows 7 Professional from XP. All other machines in the office run XP. I managed to get Premium 04 loaded onto my new OS, networked to the rest of the workstations. Most of my custom reports show up as well.

However, my custom forms (invoices, PO's, etc.) are not showing up. I know I need to run PPA110.ini from my machine to fix this, but have no idea how to invoke that command in Win7. I read about the 'runas' command, but I still have not quite figured out how to do it.

Laugh at me if you will for running such an old version, but it still serves us well. I purchased Premium Construction 08, but never got around to deploying it since 04 seems to work ok for us.

Eventually, I will upgrade to a brand new version, but would like to get my forms working on this new machine in 04 if possible.

In the interim, we will print our invoices from one of the XP machines.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

To answer your primary question, from the Windows desktop press and hold the WINDOWS symbol Key and then press the 'R' Key. So in short Windows - R. This will take you to the RUN line. Now type in either CMD and click OK to go to the old DOS window or Command prompt or type the Peachtree INI file name to access & open the file (PPA110.INI).

With the file open, you can now edit the DATAPATH Line to read the shared drive and data path to the Server.

Note - you will find a few incompatiblities running Peachtree Premium 2004 on Windows 7. Only starting with Peachtree 2010 SR2, is the program and Windows 7 totally compatible.
